Last post

Unfortunately we're having a lot of trouble accessing blogspot login from where we are. Being able to update now is even a rare occurence. Given that, we have to forego the effort of a travel blog while here. Sorry everyone, but don't worry, we will still send pictures and updates through email as originally planned. If you're reading the blog and have not been added to our list right now, just leave a comment here with your email address so we can add you. All comments are screened and therefore automatically sent to our email address. This allows for your protection on giving out your email. While we can't login to blogspot regularly (if at all), we can still receive the comments to the email. So if you would like to remain posted on our adventure with pictures, please do that. Still Awake...

Hey guys, Bethany here. It's 12:10 on the morning that we leave, and I can't get to sleep! Our goal was to be in bed at 9, maybe 10. Jared made it by 11, and I've been done for about 45 minutes, but just can't get to sleep. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity on the plane. :) We're excited to step forward in faith. There is plenty of anticipation. We'll also miss things here, like family, friends, ease of communication, (Jared would add "pizza and Chick-fil-a"), and familiarity. But we know we'll be supported in your conversations with our Father, and that means a tremendous amount. Thank you, love you, and we'll see you again soon!

Seeing People, and 1 Last Date Night

Today, we have seen Kurt and Sirena and baby Sadie, Jared got a massage, Bethany spent some time with her dad and went to see her grandma, we had dinner with our siblings Natalie and Thomas, and did a mini-date night for ice cream at Goodberrys! Whew! Tomorrow will be just as crowded, but we're thankful that there are people who care enough to want to hang out. :) Hopefully we will also have time for last-minute chores and final checks! We're both very excited--no anxiety or fear. We want that to continue!

First post!

Hello everyone! Jared and I are leaving for China in TWO DAYS! We will be there for five months and will be posting some of our experiences, pictures, and humorous "Engrish" from the places we go.
